  • Tremendous speed and acceleration through the hole, Cook is a threat to take it the distance every time he touches the ball (Cook has 10 career rushes of 50+ yards)
  • Possesses elite balance and an ability to cut on a dime, with an ability to stop and re-start quickly
  • One of the best (if not the best) all-around back in this year’s draft, including well above-average hand-eye coordination and receiving skills (Cook had 79 receptions in three seasons)
  • Shows very good patience and reads his blocks well
  • Cook shows a nose for the end-zone and leaves college with 46 rushing TDs in three seasons (an FSU record)
  • Cook led the nation with 52 forced missed tackles and 1,195 yards after contact (Pro Football Focus) in 2016
  • Cook averaged an elite 6.5 YPC rushing over his college career, including averaging 5.8 against AP-ranked teams over his career
  • Cook leaves Florida State after the two best seasons by a running back in school history and topped 1,000 yards rushing all three seasons at FSU
  • Cook had 4 TD games two times in 2016, including a game against eventual national champion Clemson
  • May not be a back to lower his shoulder and drive through defenders between the tackles, and Cook has had some shoulder issues in college including surgery in April 2016 for a torn labrum (although he returned without issue for his 2016 season)
  • Has had some fumbling problems in college that will need to be addressed (Cook has 12 fumbles in three seasons)
  • Cook was charged with battery following an incident outside of a bar in 2015 and suspended by Florida State, although he was found not guilty and reinstated
  • Will draw Marshall Faulk comparisons
  • Cook wrapped his collegiate career as MVP of the 2016 Orange Bowl over Michigan
  • Cook was Florida’s “Mr. Football” in high school (2013)
