A few weeks ago the DFW staff held a live start-up mock on #MyFantasyLeague where we had a blazing fast 30-second timer. Tons of fun getting the guys together for events like this with lots of trash talking. Here are rounds 6-10.

We want to take DFW to a higher level. To do that we need to make a tough decision regarding the future of the Warehouse. In order to maintain the level of content and analysis I hope you have come to love, while also growing the site to new levels, we have decided to have a premium paid DFW Insider membership. This will enable us to compensate for the hard work, time, and dedication that is required to continue running this world-class dynasty and fantasy football site.

There are some things to keep in mind this off-season while you prepare for any new start-up leagues or rookie drafts for your existing leagues. Over recent years the dynasty format has evolved while following the trends of the NFL which devalues RBs while the passing game has been thriving like never before. The QBs and WRs are dominating the headlines and stat-sheets while collecting monster pay-checks. Meanwhile the RBs struggle to get drafted in the first 2 rounds of the NFL draft and/or collect that monster 2nd contract after their rookie deal is over. NFL GMs just don't see much value in paying a RB big bucks after their rookie deal when they can draft a younger guy a lot less with the newer rookie pay scale. It's obviously important to have a solid RB, but their shelf-lives are so much shorter than WRs and they are much more prone to serious season-ending injuries due to the amount of carries the good ones will receive. Elite TEs and QBs are great like Jimmy, Gronk, Luck and Rodgers, but those guys are far and few between at their positions. I wanted to highlight this trending as some may think that my PPR start-up mock below is a bit unorthodox as the first two rounds are dominated 15 WRs out of a possible 24 spots. Find out who's number 1.....

Each week I highlight some of the value-plays at each position along with some of the lineups that I'll be rolling with in my weekly leagues. I tend to not cover the big names as much since we all know who those guys are and what they bring to the table. My job is to highlight some of the mid-level guys who could give you some bang for your buck each week. Also, both FanDuel and DraftKings have some monster payouts going and DraftKings specifically is going to make someone a millionaire this week, the details are below.

Recently I posted a piece called "That's the sound of your season deflating!" where I discussed the emotions involved when being eliminated from your playoffs and today is a chance to keep the fun going for the duration of the real NFL playoffs. Our very own Bruce Kimbrough aka Fat Katz who writes various IDP articles here at the Warehouse hosts a fun and free playoff league on MyFantasyLeague.com for those that are interested. This playoff league has been running for the past 5 years which has anywhere from 75-100 people and a shot at the ultimate bragging rights competing versus some of the greatest fantasy football minds in the industry. If you're interested please email Bruce at [email protected] and he'll get you all setup. You can also view last year's playoff league here.

It's Sunday morning and it's finally here, the excitement is in the air as the playoffs started week 14 for most of us. You spend year-round on this hobby for this exact moment, a chance at advancing to the next round for a shot at glory. There are only two outcomes each week from this point forward until one team is crowned as the grand champion of your league, simply put you win or go home!

Each week I highlight players you should consider using for your weekly line-up on FanDuel. Wow, where the heck did all of this weekly fantasy stuff come from?!? This format is growing like crazy and there are now a number of different providers of the DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) format. I've been playing for a few years and I think the reason so many people gravitate towards this format is simple....

My beloved DFW Nation, make sure to stop by tomorrow as I'll be covering the FanDuel picks for Michael this week. I promise you're in good hands as I've been playing the DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) format for a 3-4 years now so I am no rookie when it comes to the strategy around picking a solid lineup each week. The week before last I finished 34th out of 1,300 in a FanDuel contest and took home some good money while last week I finished in the top 15% of another 1,300 person tourney and won my money back plus a little extra. If you like playing the lottery you will love the weekly format since you'll definitely needs some luck along with a good bit of strategy in order to beat thousands of other players for the BIG bucks.
