We do take public vote, and if unanimous it goes through a trial we everyone issues their opinion, and is then re-voted for a second reading. Afterwards, the commissioner then makes a final decision.

I consistently tell other owners or commissioners the same reason each time as to why the commissioner should have the only right to veto.

“Who are you to say how I should run my team?”

Its as easy as that in any fantasy sport and that dynamic, I think, makes fantasy sports very intriguing for owners and commissioners.

Geno Smith adds more intrigue to a New York situation that should already be quite different on offense simply based on Marty Mornhinweg running his WCO there.

I wonder how willing the team will be to stick by Rex Ryan if the Jets finish with only 6-8 wins this year. In keeping him for 2013, drafting what they hope to be their QB of the future, adding Ivory, and going with Mornhinweg’s offense I would tend to think they’ll give it at least a 2-year run as long there as some signs of promise this year.

Also should be interesting to see if he can handle the big-time NY media. It’s going to be fun to watch.

I have my doubts based on his mental attributes (or lack thereof), but at the same time I haven’t really checked out film of him yet. From most accounts I’ve heard though he was widely considered the most talented QB in this draft. The reason he wasn’t selected in the first, and according to one source by a team with a top ten pick, was solely due to perceptions of him being a “diva” and acting like a “spoiled brat.”

If he gets his head together he could impress, but it seems there are legitimate doubts as to whether or not he can pull it altogether.

And I don’t mean to say I think Bell will be “bust,” but right now I think he will disappoint owners that have a really high grade on him. For as big as he is, and for as well as he can withstand initial contact, he didn’t really plow through defenders. It’s more like he ricocheted off them and then has to get going again.

In college that worked for him. In the NFL if he ricochets like that all the time as opposed to just laying into people and powering his way forward I think he’s gonna have a hard time consistently picking up yards.

It’ll work in the open field, but he can’t be doing it all the time at the line of scrimmage. If he makes the adjustment I can see him doing fairly well, but at the moment I’m skeptical because for one he has to show he can make that adjustment. And two, the Steelers rushing woes last year seem to have extended beyond their poor options in the backfield. It’ll take some time.

He’ll likely get plenty of touches right out the gate. I just don’t know if he’ll pick up enough yardage and touchdowns on a regular enough basis to make him standout in fantasy leagues right away.
