Davis Webb for Robby Anderson

Postby Dragonstrike » Tue Nov 14, 2017 6:59 pm

I tried offering a draft pick for Davis Webb, because I have heard he may be a good investment for when Eli retires. He said no and sent me this offer back. I give him Robby Anderson for Davis Webb. I am sorry if I keep coming to this forum, but I am still kind of new to dynasty fantasy. Don't want to be kicking myself later. Thanks for your time.

Welcome aboard!

If this is a 1QB league, then it's a horrible offer. Davis Webb is on most waiver wires. There's no guarantee that he'll be any good (see Matt Barkley).

If this is a 2QB league, then it's just a bad offer. I did pick up Davis Webb last week in our 2QB league, from the waiver wire. For a $0 bid. But I would rather have a WR that scores TDs week in & week out.

So Webb isn’t even on the radar (not in top 250) unless you can stash him on a taxi squad or something. Anderson i have ranked as 70 overall (all positions).

That’s a no go in my book

Note: it helps for you to add ur roster in the auto sig.
QB: Wentz, Goff, Luck
RB: LeVeon, Zeke, Kamara, Howard, Drake, Cohen, Kelley, Sims
WR; OBJ, Hopkins, Evans, Diggs, Watkins, C Davis
TE: Engram, Olsen, Doyle

Taxi: Clement, Ekeler, Samuel, Hollins

2018: 1.01, 2.01 2.05, 3.03

I think I would take the Samuel Side of that offer. He has more upside than Anderson. Anderson is a sell high player. He is not elite IMO but a beneficiary of a current situation.

Webb is probably not the answer. He is a statue in the pocket. Suspect at reading defenses. He does have some skill but be he had a hard time even holding a starting job in college so there appears to be holes in that game. Don't think he is the second coming of Brady or even Eli but worth a flyer on a deep roster in dynasty if his decision making gets faster once he gets his chance. The NFL is way faster paced than college so plenty of risk.

NFL compared him to Brock O which may be an insult. May be closer to a Blaine Gabbert type IMO.

Expect the Giants to draft an elite QB prospect but with the word the Giant's are benching Manning today we will know soon if he can play as a front line QB or will be a back up.

The QB's in this division are elite type players so hard to imagine the Giants won't go after an elite prospect in the high 1st round next season.
