Reggie was one of the most hyped fantasy players I can remember when entering the league. It’s safe to say he’s never lived up to his vast potential. Still he looked pretty damn good in Miami last year when given the chance to be the featured back. He had his best rushing season yet with over 1000 yards and 6 TD’s. He also added a respectable 43 catches to that total which is great in PPR. He’s set up to have another nice year in 2012 and will be extra motivated to do so.
So far the Dolphins haven’t had any luck attracting additional talent to their team. None of the big name QBs signed in Miami and they traded away their best wideout in Marshall. Bush may be the only playmaker on the team. And he’ll love being featured and is bound to put up some good numbers.
Reggie will be 28 at this time next year. That likely means that the next contract he signs will be his last. He’ll want to make sure he gets a decent pay day so he can walk off into the sunset with some bling in his pocket. Look for him to be extra motivated and put in more effort this offseason and during the year than he has in years past. We all know he has the talent and pedigree but can he put it together for one year and get a decent payday in his last chance at it? If I were a betting man (and it just so happens I am) I’d wager he puts up his best fantasy season to date. Now… where’s my bookie?
