Pretty self explanatory here, each week we look at the top add-drop candidates. Here are players you should look to add after week 3.  Please keep in mind all league sizes have different roster sizes, some are deep and some are shallow.  Some of these could be obvious, but lots of folks play in shallow leagues.

Let me know who we missed.

QB Adds

Jacoby Brissett – A decent add in superflex leagues after his 3 TD performance in week 3.  Luck has already been ruled out for week 4 and is still a few weeks away from returning. Even then there are no guarantees that he won’t re-injure his shoulder.  Should something happen to Luck making Brissett a year-long play he could become very valuable in superflex leagues where you can start an extra QB in the flex.

RB Adds

Alex Collins – He rushed for 82 yards in garbage time, but it was a solid ypc and with Buck and West struggling he could get a shot for more work.  If that happens he could get some momentum going with more production.

Corey Clement – I mentioned Clement after week 1 and I’m going to mention him as an add after week 3 where the Eagles have lost Sproles for the season with a torn ACL and broken arm.  Smallwood is more than likely owned in most leagues, but Clement scored a TD last week and has a shot to be the guy at some point this season in my opinion.

Matt Breida – Another player mentioned earlier in the year, but Hyde reminded us Thur night that he is an injury-prone RB when he left the game briefly with an injury.  He returned to the game, but Breida showed decently with some touches during the game.  He flashed good burst and quickness along with good hands and could be a solid RB2 should anything happen to Hyde this season.

WR Adds

Geronimo Allison – He operated as the WR3 for GB with Cobb missing time with a banged up shoulder and he didn’t disappoint with 6 catches for 122 yards on 8 targets. He won’t put up those stats often but with Jordy aging and Cobb being injury-prone he’s worth a flyer at 6’3″ 202 pounds.  Even as the team’s WR4 he will put up decent games here and there.

Mohamed Sanu – He’s not putting up insane stats, but he’s scored double-digits in all 3 weeks so far this season in PPR leagues and has 21 targets so far.  His catches are trending downward but he finally got in the end-zone week 3.  With Julio and Freeman taking most of the focus away he will continue getting lots of 1-on-1 opportunities which he should be able to take advantage of.  He’s a decent WR5 for bye weeks and injuries coverage.

TE Adds

Jonnu Smith – The TE for Tenn has now scored in 2 consecutive weeks and is a supreme athletic freak.  Delaney Walker was on record this off-season stating that once Jonnu learns the NFL game he’ll be much a much better TE than himself.  He definitely passes the eyeball test when watching him play, grab him now if you can stash him.  He could be a prime breakout player in ’18.

Mercedes Lewis – Not a fan long-term, but a performance like this with 3 TDs always warrants an add as a flyer if you have a droppable player.  He won’t put up those TDs again, but he could be an ok streamer in a pinch and ultimately you just want a player like this on the end of your bench to watch for a few weeks. He becomes an easy drop if he produces nothing, but on occasion guys like this do pan out for a season.
