The playoffs are finally here!!! What we have all been working for is now here and we must show that we are better than the rest! For some of you (weirdos) the playoffs started last week. For the rest of us it all begins this week. I have made the playoffs with every single one of my teams (#1 seed, #3 seed, and #5 seed) so I am stoked for this week. I haven’t missed the playoffs in 4 years but for some reason every year my teams of studs will fail me one week… It is a curse I have not figured out how to break. I always win one championship but never 2 out of 3… Let alone 3 out of 3!!! Here are my rosters so all of you can track with me how I perform for this years playoffs.

Here are last week’s results…

A win (for starts) and a loss (for sits) for a QB/TE/DEF is when they finish in the top 12 at their position for the week. A win (for sits) and a loss (for starts) is a 13th or worse finish. A win (for starts) and a loss (for sits) for a RB/WR is when they finish in the top 24 at their respective position. A win (for sits) and a loss (for starts) is when they finish 25th or below.

Record for the week (9-5)

Record for the season (101-78-3)

Note: When it comes to RB’s and WR’s I am focusing on the RB2/WR2/Flex spot since most people know who their top players are.

Nick Foles – Foles is on a hot streak (averaging 28 points pergame the last 4 weeks) and the Lions secondary has been getting burned all year. Got to play the hot hand when in the playoffs.

Bobby Rainey – He is almost a lock to get a large workload. I don’t even care that he is facing the average at best Buffalo defense (#13 defense this year).

Le’Veon Bell – He exited the previous game with a concussion which was caused by an awesome dive for the endzone. Bell has been picking up steam all year and is always being fed the ball so start him as your RB2.

Keenan Allen – 8 catches for 102 yards last week and the Giants secondary has been riddled with injuries. This is practically a no brainer.

Wes Welker – Eric Decker was fed the ball heavily last week and Wes Welker suffered stat wise. Do no panic! Peyton will throw to whoever is open and Wes is always open. I expect a bounce back week against the Titans.

Jared Cook – Sigh… This is the one week I am kind of on board with him. He put up 10 catches for 166 yards and 2 TD’s earlier this year against the Cardinals. The Cardinals D has given up 10 TD’s to TE’s the past 7 weeks so not a bad play if you are scrambling for a TE.

Oakland D/ST – They are playing the Jets who have an awesome QB bullpen consisting of Matt Simms, Geno Smith, and Mark Sanchez. Start with confidence this week.

Note: These are the players you should flat out avoid this week due to bad match ups.

Colin Kaepernick – He has been underwhelming all year and that includes the 87 yard game he had against Seattle… This week he plays Seattle again and need I remind you that they kept him to 87 YARDS?!?!?

Zac Stacy – Stacy will be fed the ball as always, however…. The Cardinals have been shutting down the run by giving up the 2nd fewest points to RB’s the past 5 weeks. Stacy is a flex play if you are desperate otherwise sit him.

Chris Ivory – The Jets have no passing attack and will feed Ivory the ball… But that is a feeble attempt as Oakland will be able to shut down this offense with ease.

TY Hilton – The passing offense in Indianpolis has suffered since Reggie Wayne left anf TY has been unable to fill the gap. He hasn’t cracked double digit points for the past 3 weeks and I do not expect a change against the solid Bengals D.

Michael Crabtree – Bad match up this week against Seattle plus he only had 4 targets last week. Better wait on Crabtree for a little while longer. See Colin Kaepernick.

Jordan Reed – Reed has been limited in practice and this week he may not get the snaps he needs to be a viable starting TE for your fantasy team.

Chicago D/ST – They are not the formidable foe they were last year (#14 D on the year. Buffalo is #13) plus Tony Romo has not been turning the ball over all that much (7 INT’s all year). You can do better than the Bears this week.
