Championship week!!! Well… For most it is. Two of my three teams made the championship game. I was good and then Jamaal Charles and blew it up. He alone made it seem like I dominated when truly it was all Charles.

My Wooden Glacier team won with a score of 154 – 126. Wooden Lava won 120 – 78. I have been cursed throughout the years of only having one of my three teams winning it all every year despite having them all make the playoffs. This is the year I am feeling two teams win it all!!

Do any of you have cursed teams or superstitions? Let me know in the comment section!

Here are last week’s results…

A win (for starts) and a loss (for sits) for a QB/TE/DEF is when they finish in the top 12 at their position for the week. A win (for sits) and a loss (for starts) is a 13th or worse finish. A win (for starts) and a loss (for sits) for a RB/WR is when they finish in the top 24 at their respective position. A win (for sits) and a loss (for starts) is when they finish 25th or below.

Record for the week (4-10)

Record for the season (114-93-3)

Note: When it comes to RB’s and WR’s I am focusing on the RB2/WR2/Flex spot since most people know who their top players are.

Jay Cutler – Jay Cutler has two massive targets in Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall, plus Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte aren’t too bad. The Eagles have been giving up the 7th most points to QB’s the past 5 weeks too.

Giovani Bernard – He played 53 snaps to BenJarvus’ 16 snaps last week. Plus the Vikings have been giving up 5+ catches the past 5 weeks to RB’s.

Bobby Rainey – Last week was disappointing but the Rams have been giving up the 9th most points to RB’s which includes 9 catchs per game to RB’s.

Jordy Nelson – I am anticipating Aaron Rodgers makes a return this week and this will make his #1 target that much more valuable.

Marques Colston – He put up 9 receptions for 152 yards and 2 TD’s against them last time so no reason to sit him this time.

Dennis Pitta – Last week was a major disappointment but Flacco will need to throw plus the Patriots have been giving up the 2nd most points to TE’s the past 5 weeks.

Browns D/ST – They are facing the Jets this week who have been gold for fantasy defenses. The Jets have given up the 4th most points to fantasy defenses the past 5 weeks.

Note: These are the players you should flat out avoid this week due to bad match ups.

Matt Flynn – I am a little surprised Rodgers didn’t play last week but it looks as if he will this week. I would find an alternative to Flynn this week.

Steven Jackson – The Niners have been giving up the least amount of points to RB’s the past 5 weeks. Plus Jackson has been quite underwhelming. Nuff said.

Lamar Miller – Still splitting carries with Thomas plus the Bills are an avergae run D. I wouldn’t use him unless you are in a pinch.

Mike Wallace – The Bills have been giving up the 2nd fewest points to WR’s the past 5 weeks so not an ideal matchup.

Roddy White – Not an ideal matchup as the Niners give up the 5th fewest points to WR’s the past 5 weeks.

Timothy Wright – He is too inconsistent to trust. I would find someone else instead…

Cardinals D/ST – They have averaged 6.3 fantasy points per game against Russell Wilson in the 3 games they have played him. I wouldn’t risk it.
